Warranty prior to May 1st, 2006

Limited Warranty

Every R.O.W. product is warranted against defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of manufacture.

This warranty shall not apply to products:

  1. Damaged from accidents, abusive handling, improper installation or misuse.
  2. Installed with intent other than for normal window use.
  3. Damaged from being installed or finished in an unworkmanlike manner or from being installed not in accordance with customary installation practices within the construction industry.
  4. Subjected to stress from movement of the structure or if provisions have not been made in accordance with sound practice for adequate expansion and contraction of framing members.

To comply with this limited warranty, it is the consumer's responsibility to properly care for and protect all millwork against moisture and excess dryness, and to see that all exposed surfaces, interior and exterior, top and bottom of millwork, are thoroughly painted, varnished or sealed by accepted field finishing standards. R.O.W. will, without charge, replace or repair, at it opinion, any products which may be defective and will do so in the same state as originally furnished. The company will not accept responsibility for repainting, refinishing or any other necessary work to complete the replacement or repair of the product. This warranty extends only to the original consumer purchaser and may not be enforced by any subsequent person. In the event R.O.W. supplies another unit to the warranty, the warranty on said unit will extend only for the balance of the original term hereof.

Insulated Glass Limited Warranty

The R.O.W Window Company extends a limited warranty on its insulated glass for a period of ten (10) years from the date of manufacture, to the original consumer, for failure of the seal causing impaired vision due to moisture, film or dust between glass.

Should there be such a seal failure within the limited warranty period, R.O.W. shall provide either a replacement piece of insulated glass or a sash glazed with insulated glass, at their discretion.

The warranty is not effective with respect to:

  1. Units installed in sloped glazing
  2. Units installed in an unworkmanlike manner or units that are not installed in accordance with customary installed practices within the construction industry.
  3. Glasshouse or pool enclosures.
  4. Units subjected to stress from movement of the structure or excessive temperature
    differentials over the glass surface.
